• Has played in 698 career games in the U.S. as a professional, stealing 229 bases in 303 attempts and posting a .257 average
• Has played second base, third base and the outfield during his career
• Has 31 career triples to 19 career homers along with 229 career stolen bases
• Never attended a professional baseball game until he played in one
• Plays the drums and enjoys bass fishing
• Was selected in the 2014 MLB Draft along with future Rockers Max Povse (3rd round, Atlanta), Brett Austin (4th round, Chisox), Michael Russell (5th round Tampa)

• Signed with the White Sox and played at three levels including A+ Winston-Salem (South Atlantic), AA Birmingham (Southern) and AAA Charlotte (International)

• Was at AA Amarillo (AA Central) in the Arizona organization and played in 11 games before being released
• Signed with Minnesota and was assigned to Wichita (AA Central) and hit .317 with 19 stolen bases in 26 attempts

• Played in Australia during the 2019-20 season, pre-pandemic, appearing in 16 games with a .339 average, four RBI and three steals.

• Moved up the AA Northwest Arkansas in the Royals system in 2019 and played in 80 games with a .226 average, three homers, 13 RBI and 26 stolen bases in 36 attempts

• Returned to Wilmington for a second straight season, improved his average to .281 and added three homers and 46 RBI while stealing 32 bases

• Was with A+ Wilmington (Carolina) for 103 games, and hit .227 with 29 RBI with no home runs and 32 stolen bases

• Moved up to Class A Lexington (South Atlantic) and appeared in 125 games, hitting .257 with four homers, five triples, and 59 RBI

• Spent the entire season at Idaho Falls (Pioneer) where he appeared in 65 games, hitting .290 with one homer and 28 RBI

• Drafted in the fourth round of the 2014 MLB Draft by the Kansas City Royals out of Fuquay-Varina HS in Fuquay-Varina, NC
• Assigned to Burlington (Appalachian) and hit .215 in 49 games as an 18-year-old professional rookie
• Had two homers and nine RBI in 49 games
• Played at Fuquay-Varina for Coach Milton Senter
• Was a three-year varsity starter for the Bengals and an all-state pick as a junior and senior
• First team all-conference pick after hitting .423 as a senior

• Born in Taiwan, he attended high school in Japan and is fluent in Japanese and Chinese
• Spent 16 years in the Japanese leagues (Nippon Professional Baseball)
• A two-time NPB All-Star Series game MVP, winning the honor in Game 3 in 2012 and Game 2 in 2014
• Three-time Gold Glove winner, in 2012, 2013 and 2014 and three-time All-Star
• Was a career .270 hitter with 1,164 hits, 105 home runs and 482 RBI with 141 stolen bases in NPB
• Teammate of Shohei Ohtani with the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters from 2013 through 2016
• Won a Japan Series championship in 2016 with Nippon-Ham Fighters over the Hiroshima Toyo Carp, 4 games to 2
• Is a career .275 hitter across his 16 years in Japan’s professional leagues

• Rejoins the Rockers for the third consecutive season. Is one of just three Rockers starting the 2022 season after having been in the 2019 Opening Day line-up.

• Has played 11 minor league seasons, appearing in 1,118 games with a .252 average, 128 homers and 559 RBI.
• 225 career professional home runs, 957 RBIs and 147 stolen bases.
• In 2019, was named to the Bradenton Marauders’ All-Decade team after his performance there in 2010.
