  • Moved to Appalachian State as a starter in 2022, go0ing 1-6 but striking out 62 in 43.2 innings
  • Went 8-4 in 2023 over 16 starts, fanning 115 and walking 45 in 87.2 innings
  • Selected in the 14th round of the 2023 MLB Draft by the Minnesota Twins
  • Was 1-0 with a 1.62 ERA in 10 appearances at A+ Cedar Rapids and at the Twins’ Florida Complex League
  • Had a stint on the 60 and 7-day injured lists
  • Released by the Twins on 3/21/26

Alec Barger

  • Selected by the Atlanta Braves in the 17th round of the 2019 MLB Draft
  • Played the 2017 season at Northern Illinois and after a year of junior college, pitched at NC State in 2019
  • Helped the Wolfpack to the East Carolina Regional in 2019
  • Began his pro career at Atlanta’s Rookie League club in Danville, Va.
  • Reached Class AA in 2019 with Jackson, Miss. Before being traded to the Colorado Rockies for LHP Brad Hand
  • Went 4-1 at AA Hartford in 2024 with a 3.52 ERA with 39 appearances, all in relief
  • Was 1-2 with Hartford in 2025 before being released
  • Has had more strikeouts than innings pitched in every professional season except as a rookie at Danville in 2019
