  • Spent a second year with the Pirates Dominican Summer League team, improving to .277 average with one homer and 31 RBI in 58 games.

2008

  • Started his professional career in the Pirates organization with the first of four seasons the Dominican Summer League … Hit .245 as a 17-year old rookie with 11 RBI in 44 contests.
